I suspect that the Califlower is going to work fine. I've yet to print it, but I assume it will deliver as expected.
My review is punitive because I was frustrated during the purchase process, and then immediately after purchase, felt like I'd been ripped off. I'm hopeful that it wasn't intended to be, but after purchasing what I knew to be a digital file, I then downloaded the file only to discover that no, the file I downloaded was just instruction on how to download the file that I purchased. That was dumb, especially when you consider that you could have just linked to the section on the site where I could download the file instead.
Oh, wait! I received an email. Perhaps that has my file - let me go check that first. Nope. Just a link to the page to download the file that tells me how to visit a different page to download the file I purchased. Why not just include the file in the email? If you really want to gate the file, then the email could simply contain the link to the file to be downloaded. Considering the instructions consist exclusively of "go here and then click," you've now wasted my time twice in not just linking me to where I eventually need to click.
But then it says "Pick the thing you want to download" and oh cool there is another thing to download. Looking at it, it appears to contain all the same functionality as the thing I just purchased, only it *also* includes Z-axis calibrations. That sounds like a 100% upgrade, so sure, I'll download that one instead. Alas, it is a separate purchase. Curiously priced at the amount that I just paid because I added a tip on the previous purchase.
Would be glad to swap out the purchase, or refund Califlower to get Calilantern, but there's nowhere that seems to make this possible. Oi.

Fantastic calibration tool. Printed it once and applied the recommended changes and ran it again. The new results were great and I’m really impressed with the improvement in the dimensional accuracy of my prints.

I'm not young, but this is simply the best soldering iron I ever used. The movement sensor is so good - I love that I can set an idle temperature.
Device heats up very quickly. So many options to set if you want to (pretty sensible factory defaults).
It's a total no brainer at this price.
I am well pleased! I can't recommend it enough - if you are a bit thick like me: get it! You'll save yourself a fire or two ;)
Great tool with possible defect or unintended effect of first use producing a noticeable smoke that burns in the cnc logo further. This maybe a user error neglecting to remive a protective film but as I checked no charred remains are visible.
Otherwise it integrates well with CNC kitchen's insert tools and not only works well with the provided screws but with time can function with crossthreaded screws on inserts- at a higher temperature and more time.
The tool may need some more use to fairly judge longevity but so far I recovered a few inserts already. So good enough for me.
Non tool thumbscrew if hand tightened is suitable for soldering as the pressure needed to keep the tip retained should not be too tight.
The thumbsrew does have a notch for flathead or a thin coin to be used to tighten further.
However, I used this in an extreme example using CNC kitchens de-insert too and it requires to be tightened further plus the thumbscrew is quite small so gloves may find it difficult to adjust.
Longevity-wise I purchased 2 since I am expecting an upgrade this small and with threads will wear down with repeated changes of tips and if accidentally removed and lost while travelling.
The model is well designed and it printed without any problem with ASA and glue only (no brim). The measurements to do are super easy to understand with the interactive, rotatable 3D model showing hot to take each measurement, every step of the way.
