Description
TD1s is a partnership between AJAX 3D and BIQU (Big Tree Tech). Vector 3D is the official UK and EU reseller. TD1s brings all the same features of the original TD-1 but in a smaller form factor and runs on the same firmware. TD1s is only offered as a complete unit, ready to run, and has injection moulded parts.
TD1s is a evolutionary device designed to streamline the process of gathering critical filament data by capturing the TD (Transmission Distance) and colour hex code directly from your filament and add these new materials directly to your HueForge filament library.
Features
- Measure the Transmission Distance of your filament.
- Obtain the colour hex code of your filament.
- Add new filaments directly to your HueForge library.
- Monitor the real-time TD data of your filament, whether it’s actively in use or during the spooling process directly on the production line.
- Connect directly with HueForge software for effortless integration.
- View test results directly on the device even when not connected to HueForge.
- Convenient USB-C interface with included cable.
Why buy from Vector 3D?
Being UK based we're able to provide local support, fast response to queries and much quicker shipping times than every other official source for TD1S.

The TD1s seems to be doing exactly what is says on the tin (well, it's a box actually!) It provides me with a number for the TD (light Transmission Distance) of the filament inserted into the IN hole on the side of the device, and a hexadecimal number for the filament colour. I have no means to check how correct these values are, but I'm given confidence by values that I've measured: Filabees ASA described as "White" gives #FFFFFF & a TD of 4.6. AMZ3D PLA "Trans Natural" also shows #FFFFFF with a TD of 100; Flashforge ASA "Black" shows #111B20 & TD of 0.1. The colour values for other filaments fit well with what can be seen. Some filament values supplied with the Hue Forge software are different from those measured by the TD1. I have trusted the TD1s & have updated Hue Forge values to those that I've measured.
